The Shields Are Gone

With the release of 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer, the way to a myriad of elaborately constructed medium-size ships with full playset interiors was opened wide – not only for the AFOL community, as seen in L-DI-EGO’s Invisible Hand , but for The LEGO Group itself with the subsequent releases of such sets as the popular 7665 Republic Cruiser and the 10198 Tantive IV. Today Gunner contributes to this body of work his own fantastic playset, a LEGO rendition of Queen Amidala’s J-type 327 Nubian royal starship. In addition to five scenes from the movie, this 108-stud long creation features a nearly studless hull, making it a superb choice for a display piece.
