Auburn Still Playing Waiting Game With Status Of Starting Center Nick Brahms – We are quickly approaching the end of June, which has been one of the busiest months in college football recruiting history. Prospects are on the road every day to visit their top programs, while colleges across the country have players from all over campus every day. Programs and players alike scrambled to make up 15 months of lost time, knowing there was still a dead period in July and the next 2 to lock up spots heading into football season. Many decisions are made over months.
With the return of in-person recruiting, it’s become easier to read who Auburn is recruiting and who is most interested in the Tigers. Using that information, here are what I believe are Auburn’s top five targets in the 2022 class.
Auburn Still Playing Waiting Game With Status Of Starting Center Nick Brahms
Auburn is sponsoring official campus visits this month. But when it comes to who is likely to sign with the Tigers, where on campus, and if Auburn’s new staff has recruited that target, Judkins is Auburn’s most important RB recruit anywhere. The Pike Road standout took an unofficial tour of the fields earlier this month, where he spent more than 2 hours meeting with new Auburn head coach Brian Horson. The Tigers are fighting to keep the talented linebacker in-state as both Florida and Penn State consider Judkins to be their top pick. They will probably take their official visits in the fall and make a decision closer to signing day, but right now I think Auburn is going to be tough to beat.
The Opening Drive: Auburn Vs. Alabama
New defensive line coach Nick Eason wasted no time with state no. Prefer 11 players. The story has hit Auburn’s campus twice this month, including unofficially last Saturday. He will return to officialdom in the fall and make his decision during his senior season. His older brother plays at Alabama, but the Tide has yet to offer Kaden. Meanwhile, the Tigers have made it clear they want and have a great player on board. He recently hosted his cousin, 3-star LB Micah Pollard (No. 4 in photo above), on an official visit, and the two have discussed wanting to play at the same school this fall. Currently, Auburn’s top competition with Indiana, Kentucky and UCF is the only Knights program it has hosted on an official visit. But look at the Tide and Aggies. Both are inducted this summer and could move this fall. Still, Auburn looks like the team to beat right now.
There’s no better proof that Auburn can recruit nationally than landing half of the top 150 prospects in the country. That’s exactly what Auburn’s new staff is trying to do with four-star Darius Clemons. Bryan Harsin recruited Clemons while at Boise State, and that relationship allowed the Tigers to take Clemons on campus for an official visit earlier this month. He was apparently smitten and said the Tigers had stepped up as his manager with the caveat that this was his first official tour. He has since taken official visits to USC and Penn State. The Nittany Lions will likely be the Tigers’ best matchup with the Instate Ducks. The decision could come this summer or wait until the fall. Obviously, this is a monster win for the new team. He plans to return to the Plains this fall for the Iron Bowl.
Right now, Nick Saban is going to get what he wants. There aren’t many programs that beat him for top goals. But it happens, and while I don’t expect Brian Horsen to start taking away the best instat kids from the Tide right away, he will have to win some battles to keep Auburn within striking distance. This is one of those fights that I think he can win. Nick Eason has made a big impact this run, and Auburn’s new emphasis on Montgomery territory is sure to help. His former high school teammate Marcus Harris is now also on the Plains. Still, this win is a tough spot, but if the Tigers can pull it off, it’s a sign that Hersin’s staff can hang with the nation’s best.
Is Auburn Football’s 2022 Roster Better Than It Was Last Season?
It may seem crazy that Auburn has the top 3-star target on the board, but it’s true. It’s well known that offensive tackle recruiting has been a struggle for the Tigers since the departure of Jeff Grimes. This new staff faces a significant rebuild, especially considering how tight the OL space is right now. After being hired, Harris quickly became Auburn’s top priority for new recruits. He was on campus the first day in-person recruiting was allowed. This is a must win for Auburn. Yes, it won’t be easy. Harris really likes Alabama, and if the Tide give him the green light, it might be hard to stop him from committing. Mario Cristobal and the Ducks recently hosted the big man and looked to impress, while Florida State appears to favor him as well. This is one of those recruits that Auburn hasn’t won in a while. Bryan Harsin’s team must prove that there is a new day in the arena and keep the big man in the house. The 2012 Senior Bowl is just days away and features several talented players hoping to make it to the NFL soon.
This is the last opportunity for scouts to see these players demonstrate their skills in a real game.
Pre-draft workouts are great, but seeing a prospect in action gives scouts a lot more information.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the details of the 2012 Senior Bowl and who played in it.

More than 100 NFL prospects are trying to prove they have what it takes to play at the next level, but a poor performance has a big impact on their draft status.
According to Cincinnati.com, the North team has been on the rise lately. Cincinnati Bearcat defensive end Derek Wolfe plays in the 2012 Senior Bowl. Wolff was the Eastern Defensive Player of the Year.

Projected as a middle-of-the-road QB, Cousins needs to shine when he’s on the field, especially with Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III in the QB class.
He may be the best QB in college football, but Moore doesn’t translate well to the NFL. As Michael Shuty of Bleacher Report pointed out, his biggest problem is his size.
Plus, playing against weaker talent ruined all of his numbers. Moore needs to come up big in the Senior Bowl to really impress scouts and boost his draft stock significantly.

After a strong season with the Wisconsin Badgers, Wilson decided to retire from baseball and focus on the NFL. Bad news hit Wilson early, however, as Adam Hodge pointed out the QB’s weight results.
That’s never a good sign for a QB, but Wilson can still make up for it with a good game. Still, the height issue hurts him a lot.
More known for his mobility, Wilson will need to show his hand this weekend if he wants to increase his chances of being drafted in the first rounds.

The 2012 class is loaded with talented offensive linemen, and Adams has a chance to go top 20 or better if he performs very well at the Senior Bowl.
NFL draft analyst Devon Capote tweeted Dennard’s weight results, and here’s what he originally quoted:
Cornerback is another deep spot in the draft, which means Dennard will have to play well. If he burns out, his chance to be a first-round draft pick could disappear.

Another thing is that the last time we saw Dennard in a match, he was ejected for throwing a punch. Scouts will be watching to see if Dennard can keep his cool on and off the field.
Foles has dealt with injuries throughout his college career, so this is a good option.
